looking back on the past couple weeks, i go over what's happened in my head. how has life been different since the baptism? a lot of change. no longer working at wesley. i'll be moving out of here at the end of the month, living with the girls for 2 months, then moving into a new place. new relationships. new beginnings. has it been tough? definitely. have i felt doubt? absolutely. so what's different? what's different is that i feel more equipped for battle. like the water made my armor stronger. it's not my own force or strength that has made me more ready to fight. it's Him in me. and by that i don't mean to explain some hyper-spiritual experience. because that's not the case. no no, it's something much more natural. more Him.
He's looking at this city of Pittsburgh, at all the crevices and everything that seems insignificant except to Him, at the injustice, at the pain, at the dysfunctional families (they all are by the way), at the addictions, the abuse, the depression - emotional, mental, economic... He's saying THIS. THIS IS MY CITY. AND THIS, THIS IS MY ARMY, DO YOU SEE THEM? as He calls this solider up, He says, here child. here is My belt. here child. here is My breastplate. here child. here is My shield. here child. here is My helmet. and here child...don't forget My sword. now go, go in truth, righteousness, peace, faith, SALVATION, and the Spirit. you are still being readied. you will always will be. but go out and bring My love to the streets. I will ready you on those streets.
go with My love and you will be renewed by the transforming of My Spirit in you.
