one of those stay inside sort of days.

blustery was the best word for it. cold and windy and wet. the kind of day that makes you want to curl up in the arm chair with a blanket and nap, dreaming of warmer weather sweeter to the soul. in fact, i did just that. it was only about twenty minutes or so but was it ever sweet.

tonight was my weekly time with kris and dan to drink tea and dream and talk and vision cast and connect. kris is in south carolina for the week though so it was just harding and me. it was good to catch up with him and just BE for a little while tonight. later jim hobby, our recently acquired coach called us as planned. we talked about what was going on with threenails and the big questions we were facing. "life questions" as he called them. though we didn't draw any grand revelations on either side, and didn't come to any real conclusions, i found it a tremendous blessing to be in conversation with jim. it's easy to forget when you're in leadership of a community of your peers, how simply wonderful it is to talk with someone with more years behind them, there to listen and be your advocate, even when it means saying things you don't want to hear. there was something about our conversation with jim tonight that hit my heart and felt like home, a kingdom thing...bigger than the ideas we were talking about, bigger than us. needless to say, i'm sold on the idea of coaching and feel a prayer answered with my unsettled attitude about leadership stuff lately.

resting on his peace tonight. under the covers.
